It is with great sadness that the family of Audrey Wirachowski announces her passing on Sunday, March 26th, 2017, one day before her 86th birthday, after losing a short battle with cancer.

Audrey will be lovingly missed by her three children, Debbie, Lynda and Kevin. In addition, she has left a legacy of four grandchildren and five great grandchildren who will also miss their Nana. Audrey came from a large blended family and was the youngest of 10 children. They have all gone before her.

We are now left to find a new way to live without her. She was always there for us with her love and support. We are strengthened by the fact that she is free of pain and suffering and she is mobile again. Audrey will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all.

A special thanks to Dr. Hugh Fletcher and all the nursing staff and care aids at Trillium Lodge, Parksville, who lovingly cared for mom the last 3 years.

In her memory, do a small act of kindness for a friend or a stranger and make the world a better place.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 3rd, 2017 at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Cemetery on the corner of Moore Road and Falls Street in Port Alberni. Father Stephen Paine presiding. This will be followed by a light lunch and Celebration of Life in the Notre Dame Catholic Church Hall, 4731 Burke Rd, Port Alberni, around noon.
