June Carol CRAWFORD

It is with great sadness that her family announces the passing of June Crawford peacefully at home on Wednesday, March 7th, 2018. Predeceased by her husband, Stuart in 2012. Survived by her loving daughters, Marilyn (Tim) Kopernick and Sherry Crawford (Don Guglielmin); sister, Lorna Egan; sisters-in-law, Merry Hallsor and Virginia Crawford; grandchildren, Jacqui, Pamela, Faye and Carlo; great-grandchildren, Logan, Camryn, Annabella, Lillian, Evelyn and Charles; and many nieces and nephews.

June was born in Victoria in 1926. She attended the University at Victoria College and then at UBC where she graduated in teaching. While at university, she met the love of her life, Stuart. After marriage, there followed 61 years of happiness and true love until his passing.

June took great pride in creating a loving home for her family. Many organizations benefitted from her ability to lead and organize, and by her endless volunteering. Her hobbies were golf, bridge and socializing with their many friends. She loved entertaining and her parties were legendary. Together, she and Stuart enjoyed their favorite pastime; travelling the world over. June made everyone in her family feel special and loved. Always gracious, her positive outlook on life was reflected in her beautiful smile. She will be missed by her family and friends.

A private Remembrance will be held with family in Calgary.
