Ronald John Boehm

Our loved one passed away peacefully at home on December 8th, 2017.

Ron was predeceased by his beloved parents, John and Lydia Boehm; Sister in law Vina Boehm.

He is survived by his loving wife Gloria, children Lee (Sandra), Rondi (David), Jody (Tobias) as well as his grandchildren Ezri, Corah, Ryan, Lowen, Samuel, Daniel, Nicole and Kyle, brothers Ervin, Edward (Jackie), Len (Vivian), Brian (Susan) and Rick (Andrea) and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ron was born and raised in Allan, Saskatchewan. He was the second eldest of six boys. After his professional hockey career, he made Sproat Lake his fulltime home in which he raised his family with wife Gloria.  Ron worked for Parks and Recreation, City of Port Alberni, for 23 years until he retired in 2003. He had a passion for music throughout his life and took pleasure in entertaining people by playing the guitar, accordion and singing. In his retirement, Ron enjoyed camping, fishing and boating with his family, grandchildren and friends. He was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ and was an active member of his church.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, December nineteenth, 2017 at 2pm at Arrowsmith Baptist Church, 4283 Glenside Road.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Ron’s memory may be made to the Ty Watson House – Hospice Society, 3088– 3rd Ave, Port Alberni, B.C.
