Bonnie Clarke
February 25, 1935 – May 5, 2019
It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our cherished mom and grandma.
Bonnie was predeceased by her husband Charles (Chuck) and is survived by her daughter Nancy James (Wayne), son Kelly, her grandsons David James and Shaun James (fiancée Sarah Turner), her sister Margaret Nasar and many loving friends and family members.
Bonnie was born February 25, 1935 in Cumberland, B.C. She came to Port Alberni in 1959 with her husband Chuck.
She was a member of BPOE (Royal Purple) and the Alberni Valley Curling Club. Bonnie was a quiet, caring woman, who worked hard her entire life to please others. She loved spending time in her garden, campouts with friends and quiet moments with a good book. She had a special love for animals especially her many dogs. Was a lover of hummingbirds (her babies) which brought her great joy in the last years of her life. But most importantly her happiest moments were when she was spending time with family and friends.
The family will be eternally grateful to the dedicated staff at Fir Park Village for their loving care of mom these last 4 years.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday May 20, 2019 from 2pm - 4 pm at the Port Alberni Lawn Bowling Club, 4255 Wallace Street. In lieu of flowers, if you wish, donations in Bonnie’s memory may be made to the Fir Park Village Society.
