Jasper passed away peacefully at his home in Parksville surrounded by his family on Sunday, December 3, 2017 at the age of 80.   Born in Holland, Jasper immigrated to Canada settling in British Columbia where he lived for most of his life in North Vancouver, West Vancouver, and finally Parksville.

Jasper turned his passion for drawing and painting into a career as the owner of Jasper Veerman Architectural Illustrations Ltd.  In his spare time, he enjoyed traveling and soaking up the sun.   He also enjoyed walking, jogging, tennis, curling and playing various table games with friends and family. 

Jasper is survived by this loving wife of 59+ years, Joan; children and spouses, Ron (Brenda), Jeff (Terri), Nicolette (Scott); grandchildren, Matthew, Deanna, Andrew, and Wesley; brothers, Andries and Jan; and sister, Ria.  He was predeceased by his parents, Andries and Anna; sister, Jannie; and twin brother, Hugo.

The family extend special thanks to the Oceanside Hospice Society for their assistance, comfort, and support during Jasper’s illness.  Also, a thank you to Yates Memorial Services for their compassion and guidance during this difficult time.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Jasper’s honour on at 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at the Craig Bay Estates Clubhouse in Parksville.
