John Michael Kenchenten
March 18, 1943, to May 19, 2019
John was dearly loved and passed away surrounded by family and friends on May 19, 2019. He was a beloved partner to Wendy Kerr. He was a loving father to Josephine, Chu-Chu, Lindsay, Julian, Nick and grandfather to Liam, Alister, Olive and Levon.
John moved from England to Canada in the 1970s, where he applied his talents in film and photography. He was able to maintain a full and active life documenting and creating visual story telling from behind the lens of a camera. He was a lively, creative and unique human being who will be missed by many.
We would like to thank Dr. Booth and Dr. de Witt. Thank you for the wonderful support of friends and family, the staff of Home and Community Care and Renal Dialysis units in both Port Alberni and Nanaimo.
Friends and family are invited to share in a Life Celebration of John Kenchenten – 1:00 PM - June 8th at 6010 River Road, Port Alberni, BC.
