Jan. 19, 1952 – March 4, 2018

It is with sadness that the family announce the passing of Kevin at his home on March 4, 2018 surrounded by his family.

Kevin was predeceased by his father Harold, his mother Olive and his sister Cheryl Mandseth and his brother Terry Bellas.  He is survived by his girlfriend Vilma Pendon, his son Colin of Port Alberni and his daughter Karelyn (John) Berresford of Edmonton and grandchild Rhys Berresford, his sisters Karin (Clive) Brown, Trudy (Brian) Knoll of Port Alberni, Susan (Bill) Baron of Nanaimo, brothers Ken Bellas, Darren (Sherry) Bellas, sister-in-law Kelly Bellas of Port Alberni, brother-in-law Tom Mandseth of Campbell River and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends from the A.P.D. where he worked for 46 years.

Kevin was a Grapple Operator at A.P.D. and he served 10 years as a volunteer fireman at the Beaver Creek Fire Hall.  He enjoyed bowling and curling and he really liked people coming to visit him at his home.  He had two “furry friends”, Sophia & Emmett, whom he treasured.

A Celebration of Kevin’s life will be held Sunday, March 25 – 1:00 PM at the Italian Hall – 4065 6th Avenue, Port Alberni.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society.
