It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Leslie Rea Hibbert on Sunday, December 3, 2017. 

Les is survived by his beloved wife Jane of 42 years; his daughters Kelly Allen (Matthew) Ely Cambridgeshire, UK; Nicole De Lisle (Bryan), Castlegar, BC.  Grandchildren Cooper and Atticus De Lisle; Joshua and Abigail Allen.  Brother Gary Hibbert (Linda).  Brothers-in law: Charles McNutt (Joan), Paul McNutt (Beverley), Carl McNutt (Doris), Eugene McNutt (Sharon).  Aunts Marjorie Halverson, Gwendolyn Jackson, Marion Fleming; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.

Les is predeceased by his parents Loraine and Donald Hibbert of Wolseley, SK.

Les had a long and successful career with the MacCosham Group and enjoyed the many and lasting friendships from each Branch he managed across Western Canada.  His passion for cars, hockey and music were only surpassed by his love and devotion to his family.

A gentle soul, a gentle man, gone too soon. His wings were ready, our hearts were not.

Our family would like to extend a special thank you to Drs. Liesel Roome and Marlene Van der Weyde; Oceanside home care nurses, NRGH Medical Imaging nurses and doctors, Oceanside Hospice and also the BC Cancer Agency in Victoria.  We will be forever grateful for your loving care.

A Service will be held to honour Leslie at 11:00am on Tuesday, December 19th, 2017 at Yates Memorial Services, 1000 Allsbrook Rd, Parksville, BC. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to BC Cancer Research.
