Mary VAN DEN BERG Obituary

Mary Johanna passed away peacefully Friday, October 5th at Arrowsmith Lodge, Parksville at 92 years of age, 4 years after suffering a stroke. She was predeceased by her husband Wilhelm in 2016. She is survived by her daughters Nancy & Sonya (Doug) and family in Holland, Saskatchewan & Vancouver.

She was the oldest daughter of 10 children and always loved & missed her family back home. Mom absolutely loved their home Dad built out Beaver Creek. Mom was the sweetest, kindest soul whose only job she wanted was to be a wife, mother & homemaker. She excelled.

Her many skills included gardening, sewing, knitting, crocheting, cooking, canning & expert repackaging.

Mom surprised & impressed us all when she took up the computer & became the Canucks biggest fan at 80 years old. It was her new window to the world & Skype with us and her family in Holland became her fave. She will be forever remembered for her love & tenderness. Rest well Mama Mooska.
