Michael FINLAY Obituary

Michael Finlay passed away peacefully on Friday, December 7, 2018 at the Nanaimo General Hospital at the age of 72.

Michael is survived by his wife of 47 years, Mirna, daughters Michelle (Alton) and Zabrina (Ryan) and grandchildren Mica, Kaia and Teagan.

Michael worked as a paper inspector in the Port Alberni Pulp Mill for 40 years. He was involved with the Errington Volunteer Fire Dept. for 20 years and served as Chief for 8 years and Asst. Chief for 9.

Mike enjoyed fishing and hunting in his earlier years, as well as photography and carving. In his retirement, his love of woodworking was his main enjoyment and his family and friends will cherish his creations.
