Peter John Hayers

April 11, 1955 ~ October 2, 2018              

It is with sadness that the family of Peter John Hayers announce his passing at the West Coast General Hospital.

Peter was predeceased by his parents – Sylvia (1995) and John (2018); he is survived by loving wife Andrea (36 years together), his daughters Corena (Shawn) and Alysia (Corey) and his grandchildren Isabella, Kiana, Talia; his sister Susan (John) and numerous nieces and nephews.

Peter was born in Port Alberni, BC, he was raised and lived in Beaver Creek, proud to be a “Creeker”.  He loved his family and all his friends very much.  He was an ‘old school’ Chevy Guy, loved his hot rods, drag racing, classic cars of all kinds and his El Camino.  Peter worked at the Plywoods Division for many years until it closed; he was a welder for almost 40 years, operating Beaufort Iron Works until his health declined.

Cremation has taken place.  A Gathering of family and friends will take place on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Beaver Creek Community Hall, 8508 Beaver Creek Road, Port Alberni from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM
