Robert Edward CHRISTIE

Robert Christie passed away on Monday, November 12th, 2018. Robert was predeceased by his parents, Catherine & Thomas Christie; sister, Louise Bowes; brother, Thomas “Tim” Christie; and his son, Tom Christie. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 ½ years, Belva Christie; his children, Arlene Christie and Deb Guyovich who reside in Palm Springs and Lake Cowichan (snowbirds); relatives, Lorraine Grandy, Cathy Noel, Richard & Marina Connah, Steven Connah, Ian Noel, Christine & Ryan, Katie Connah, Emily & Dolena Noel, Richard, Cheryl & Robert Terris, Danica & Bobby, Tracy Little, Roger, Sabrina, Megan & Laura, Antonia & Jordan, nieces, Katherine, Linda & Janice, nephews, Wayne & Alex, Gaeten & Gudy Pellettier, Jenny Anderson, Jacque Robinson & family.

Bob Christie worked for Hydro as a young man and later got into the logging business. The Christie Family spent time in Nakusp and then later moved to Terrace, BC where Bob would retire from the company. Later, Bob and Belva moved to Vernon for 6 years. In 1990 they moved to Deep Bay on Vancouver Island, and later into the Parksville area.

Bob and Belva have belonged to the Island Gospel Church since their arrival to the island. Bob’s favourite times have always been around events and times spent with his family and friends. Bob will always be remembered as a hard-working family man.

There will be a service in May of 2019. Date and time to be determined.
