Ronald Edward TINGA

With great sadness we announce Ron’s passing on Friday, September 28, 2019 in Port Aberni.
Ron leaves behind to forever miss him his parents, Margaret and Norm Tinga of Courtenay; “Mom”, Kaye Crutchley of Port Alberni; brothers, Rick (Brenda) Tinga of Courtenay, Nick (Ashley) Horgan of Port Alberni; sisters, Shannon (Ken) Crutchley of Port Alberni, and Judy (Barry) Horgan of Nanaimo; stepbrothers, Clint, Kenny, and Brian Hallgarth; stepsister, Mona Fournier; niece, Kaye-lynn Horgan; nephews, Ryan (Kayla) and Gregory Tinga; and many many friends and extended family members. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Dorothy “Dot” Kelly and Ed Parker, Ted and Rene Tinga; “Dad” Kenneth ‘Skip’ Hallgarth; stepsisters, Christine Schmitt and Denise Hallgarth.
Ron was a lover of people and a connector of hearts. He loved the outdoors, spending time with family and friends, camping, hiking, horseback riding, and Karaoke. Ron loved to party and especially loved his “Rock’n’Roll.
His family extend special thanks to Dr Puts, Pam Fletcher, Tanya, and all the amazing nurses at West Coast General Hospital for the loving and compassionate care they provided to Ron -- “You are forever in our hearts.”
There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, October 5, 2019. The family will have a private celebration in the afternoon and all are welcome to drop in between 5:30 and 8:00 pm to share stories around the campfire - 7567 Thompson Road in Port Alberni, BC.
