Samuel Brown Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Dr. Stuart Brown. Born in London, U.K. in 1931; grew up in Belfast, Northern Ireland; educated at Potora Royal School and Queen’s University where he obtained his medical degree. After doing a stint as a General Practitioner, he specialized in anaesthesia. Part of his training was to work in paediatrics where he met the love of his life and future wife of 58 years; Joan (née Lindsay).

Joan and Stuart immigrated to Calgary, Alberta in 1972 with their four sons; Lindsay (Christiane: and their daughter Breanna), Simon, Keith (deceased), and Roger (Fiona: and their daughters Rowan and Sage). His family were everything to him. After living in Calgary for 43 years, Joan and Stuart returned to live by the ocean and enjoy the beautiful community of Qualicum Beach, British Columbia.

Joan is extremely saddened by the loss of her best friend and soulmate. A small private ceremony was held with family and close friends. We would like to extend our thanks to friends and the many health care providers for their support over the past several months.
