We would like to express our condolences to the Ritchie Family, at this difficult time.  We have always held Bill in the highest regards.  We first met Bill years ago ,when he and Dave Smith formed Ritchie - Smith Feeds, and they were looking for customers.  We have always considered ourselves quite lucky to have been doing business with such classy people.  (Which continues to this day !). Bill's ears have probably rung many, many times over the years, when we would tell other people about how much, we admired and respected the honesty , hard work and determination the Ritchie and Smith families put into their lives and, ultimately their business. We will never forget them!

I will always remember the fun time we shared during the years I worked with Bill and Nina.  I will also remember the lessons learned.  He taught me the importance of bringing your staff and workers in as partners to give them pride of ownership.  I used that lesson over and over in the 25 or so years since we worked together.  Rest in peace, dear friend.

With love and gratitude, Darlene

Dear Nina, Laurna, Stewart and Scott;  We send our very deepest sympathy to all of you and your families.  I had the distinct honour and privilege to work for Bill in government for 7 1/2 years - it was a marvelous learning experience that I will always treasure.  "Many thanks, Bill - no more 'mugwamps' to deal with"!  He left a legacy of beautiful memories for all of you to be very proud of.  Chuck & Christine.

He was a like able man and one only gets another chance to make a good impression.

Please accept my sincere condolences. I had the privilege of knowing "The Chief" for over thirty years. Our families have been friends ever since the Ritchie's moved to Abbotsford. We proudly supported Bill throughout his political career. I had the honour of being mentored by Bill in politics and have great memories have touring British Columbia with him when he was Minister of Municipal Affairs. He was a man of integrity and principle. Service to others was always close to his heart. May you be comforted by the fact that he left a wonderful legacy of faith, hard work, love of family, commitment to community and service to others.
Sincerely, Ross and Kelly Siemens.
