Winifred TURNER Obituary

Winifred Grace Turner (nee Matheson) passed away peacefully at the Nanaimo Regional Hospital Palliative Care Unit following a respiratory viral infection.

Win was born 78 years ago in Vancouver, British Columbia. She is survived by her husband, Ross Turner; her sons, Malcolm and Graham Turner; grandsons, Ian and Nathan Turner; and sister, Jean Matheson. Win was a loving, happy and high-spirited person who was afflicted with Parkinson’s Disease and during her last few years, dementia. Despite all her problems, she always had a ready smile and was much loved by her family, her friends, and her care givers.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, June 25th, 2019 at Yates Memorial Services. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honour Win's memory may do so by making a donation in her name to Parkinson Canada, www.parkinson.ca.
