Annie "Edna" Jacques Obituary

Edna was born August 1, 1920 to June 22, 2020 at the age of 99 years old. She passed away peacefully at the Cumberland Lodge, Vancouver Island, B.C.

She was predeceased by her husband Douglas A. “Polly” Jacques of St. Thomas, Ontario where she was raised most of her life.

Edna is survived by and will be greatly missed by her children Earl Jacques and wife Joan who reside in St. Thomas, Ontario; Mary McKee and her husband David of Port Burwell, Ontario; Ann Deschambault of St. Anicet, Quebec; George Jacques and wife Linda of St. Thomas, Ontario; Kenneth Jacques of Pritchard, B.C.

Edna is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Edna resided for the past 20 years with her dear friend Cindy Shaw of Union Bay, B.C. and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

We’d like to give deepest gratitude to the caring staff of Cumberland Lodge in Cumberland, B.C.

Edna was a farmer most of her life and enjoyed animals, music and people. She loved to laugh and tell jokes to keep everyone laughing. She was always the life of the party.

A “Celebration of Life” will be announced at a future date in St. Thomas, Ontario.
