Predeceased by his parents Adam & Adela Schinkel. Sisters, Margaret, Esther and Evelyn.  His first wife, Verna Schinkel.  Verna’s parents Michael & Sophie Davyduke.  Mother-in-law Esther Loewen.

Survived by; wife, Paulette Loewen, daughter’s Carla Schinkel (Michael Keller), Nicole Senn (Craig), Lindsay Loewen (Dave Amundson) and son Christopher Loewen (Kelsey Barham). Grandchildren, Annika & Carter Senn and Halle & Harper Amundson. Siblings, Ernest Schinkel (Eileen), and George Schinkel.  Brothers-in-law, Keith Loewen (Janet) and Scott Loewen (Gwen). Numerous nieces and nephews as well.

Born in Jansen Saskatchewan on the farm, Bruno learned very early what hard work meant.  This carried him through many career choices over the years; he was a Grain Buyer, a maintenance guy in the hospital, an EMT and then Bruno’s Bobcat Service business came to be.  Driving his bobcats was his biggest passion and you could see it by the big smile on his face!

Bruno was a heart transplant recipient of 21 years, which was a miracle.  This made him such a special individual.

Words that could describe Bruno, genuine, loving, empathetic, witty, big hearted and a true gentleman.

He loved to tell stories in great detail.  Always willing to fix anything, no matter how long it took.  To say that he loved to “tinker” would be an understatement.

Later in life Bruno found another passion, baking.  Many enjoyed his cinnamon hearts, pies, cookies, Amish bread, bread and buns.

We are saddened by the loss of this amazing man, but are grateful for the bonus 21 years.  He will be missed, and our memories of him will be cherished.

There will be a Celebration of Life in the coming summer months.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Canadian Transplant Association (www.canadiantransplant.com) in Bruno’s name.  “Organ and tissue donation works... a future is yours to give.”

Go rest high on that mountain

Son, your work on earth is done.

Go to heaven a-shoutin’

Love for the Father and the son...
