Chuck (Charles) Lawrence Seidel passed away peacefully at his home in Nanaimo, BC on January 9th, 2021 at the age of 81 after a short battle with cancer. He is preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Audrey Evans of New Westminster.
He is survived by his 3 children, Greg (Lili) Seidel of Coquitlam, Brad Seidel of Langley and Leigh (Mike) Ciurka of Nanaimo; 4 Grandchildren, Christopher and Abbey Seidel of Coquitlam and Kyle and Kristen Ciurka of Nanaimo; his brothers, Louis Seidel of Nanaimo, Don (Roberta) Seidel of Prince Rupert, Louise (Richard) Hall of North Carolina and predeceased by his brother Raymond Seidel of Fort Nelson.
Chuck was born to Noella and Joseph Seidel in Meadow Lake Saskatchewan in 1939 and moved to New Westminster when he was just 10 years old. He met and married Audrey Evans in 1960 and built a life in New Westminster working at BC Tel for more than 30 years. Chuck enjoyed his life coaching his kids sports, tending to his garden, and later, watching his grandchildren participate in their activities.
Chuck felt fortunate to be able to spend the last 2 years of carefree living at Berwick On the Lake, getting closer to his oldest brother Louis and rediscovering Vancouver Island. He will be deeply missed. Celebration of life to be announced when permitted.
