Charles (Ned) Edward STEWART

Ned passed away peacefully in the Nanaimo Regional General Hospital at the age of 81 years.

Predeceased by his beloved wife, Sylvia, and parents Charles Edward (Pax) and Rose Mae. Ned is survived by his son, Charles Edward (Ted) and partner Crystal Doucette; daughter, Terri Lynn and husband, Malcolm Slater; brothers, David and Douglas; grandsons, Chazz Lazorko and wife, Kat, Chase Lazorko and partner, Laura, Cameron Slater-Brookes and partner, Beth Chase and Louis Slater; great grandchildren, Braydon, Braxton, Paxton, Mya, Claire, Elizabeth and Lilianna; along with nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ned was born in Victoria, BC and resided in the Valley for the past 45 years coming to the Valley to work as an industrial painter at the local pulp and paper mill. Retiring in 2002, Ned enjoyed spending his time at the Alberni Golf Club, where he made lasting friendships. A great fan of the Alberni Bulldogs Hockey Club, he could be found cheering on the team in the arena or listening on the radio to away games. Also not forgetting the challenging crossword puzzles he worked on daily.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 28th, 2023 at the Alberni Golf Club from 1:00-4:00 pm.
