Deborah (Deb) was born in Artesia, New Mexico to Billy and Bobby Tidwell. Her recent battle with cancer ended at age 70.
Deb spent her school years between Montana and New Mexico, graduating from high school in Albuquerque. She met Clifford Oliver Steen (Cliff) in 1981 and they married in 1987, making their home in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. While there, they developed the very successful C. Steen Trucking Company, delivering oil field related equipment and supplies between Alberta and Texas.
In 2006 Deb and Cliff sold the company and retired at their beautiful ocean front property in Bowser, British Columbia. They spent their happiest and most relaxing moments there! Sadly, in 2013 she lost Cliff, also to cancer.
Deborah was a wonderful, dynamic, caring, compassionate, generous soul who continually defended and aided the underprivileged. The lives of so many people benefited from her kindness and she leaves a myriad of family and friends to mourn her passing.
“When Deb saw ‘a need’, she gave to many before they even asked and she never expected anything in return. Her special trait was to bless people and she did that often - and always with the joy of a child at Christmas! She truly believed it was more blessed to give than receive. My sister Deb was the greatest giver I ever knew!”
