Debra Lee VISSIA

Debbie was born in Port Alberni, BC on April.16th, 1963 and passed away unexpectedly on April, 7th 2021.

 Debbie was predeceased by her grandparents, Roscoe and Doris; her mother, Mildred; father-in-law, Arend and her nephew Julian. Debbie is survived by her husband, Ronald Vissia; children, Amanda, Sheldon, Natasha (Jamie), Keshia (Ben), and Hope; grandchildren, Elijah, Madden, Annabelle, Siena and Alexa; parents, Mike (Bernie), mother-in-law Toni, and her siblings, Curtis, Kim, Jenny (Joey), Mike (Barb), Troy (Sheila), Jenny (Ron), and Holly (Jim). She is also survived by Ronald’s brothers and sisters, Audrey (Marcel), John, Ken (Cindy), Aaron (Serena) and Ben (Roxane) and by her many aunts and uncles. She was especially close with her aunt Darlene and uncle Jules who were like parents to her.  Debbie also has many cousins, nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by her life-long friends Dave and Joy.

 Along with spending time with her family, Debbie loved to be with her grandchildren, she loved music, singing, karaoke, movies, gardening, spending time managing Hope’s acting, the outdoors, the ocean, camping, fishing and her dog Finn. She took pride in her dream home at Sproat Lake and loved to share and enjoy it with her family and friends.

 Debbie had a strong and gentle loving character and everyone always felt loved and cared for by her.

 Ron and Debbie had a wonderful marriage of over 40 years and built a beautiful life with 5 children and 5 grandchildren.

 In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation in honour of Debbie.
