A vast extended family and friends, from throughout New England, Oregon, and California

Easter was born and raised in Connecticut, USA

After graduating from college, she came out west to Oregon and began work at an active guest ranch located along the Rogue River. She fell in love with the lifestyle and adventures it gave.  Each day she looked after guests around the stables and enjoyed riding with them out on the range. 

She continued to follow her dreams of working with horses in Dressage and Eventing.

In 1975, she met her life partner "Trish".  They then set up their homestead in the central California foothills where they built their home and horse ranch in order to raise and train horses.
She also had talent in teaching many young people to learn to ride and thus enjoy their experience for a lifetime.

Easter was a truly kind and gentle person with the heart of a tiger.  A strong advocate of human rights, she saw the world from all views.  Her compassion and sense of justice led her to work for Women's Crisis Centers for 25 years.

In retirement they moved to Vancouver Island, where Trish was born.

Easter fell in love with the beauty of our vast forests, ocean and its abundant wildlife.

Often, she talked of how this area had such wonderful people and what a special place this was, in our vast planet.  It was important for her that we all work at taking care of it and preserving its uniqueness.

In her honour, any contributions to her life should go to wildlife charities, or any charity that means something to you - follow your heart.
