With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Eleanor on October 4th, 2023 at Ty Watson House in Port Alberni surrounded by the love of her family.

She leaves to forever miss her, her daughters, Shannon (Tony), Kim (Sandy), and Cindy (Tracy); grandchildren, Amanda, Caitlin, Tyler, Jesse, Nadine, and Kelly: great grandchildren, Sophia and Ariah; brother, Junior Johnston; sister, Dora Pichor; sister in law, Marilyn Mackenzie; as well as many nieces, nephew, extended family members and friends. Eleanor was predeceased her her parents Wilson and Edith Johnston and her husband, Ernest Doug Godwin.

Eleanor loved to garden. She also enjoyed her nights playing cards with family and going to her knitting group on Tuesdays. Her family dinners' will be greatly missed.

She was the best mom and friend and will be missed by all who knew her.

In keeping with her wishes, no formal service will be held.
