Obituary
Mom passed away peacefully after a short battle with cancer.
She was predeceased by her husband, Alvin (Abbie) Pederson; her parents, Ole and Mabel Eliason; and her son-in-law. Ian Gallagher. She is survived by her son, Ron (Sue) Pederson; daughters, Heather Gallagher and Dana (Ron) Baird; 7 grandchildren, Trina (Mardi) Holcombe, Erin (Uli) Diaz, Kristina (Rob) Johnson, Courtenay (Travys) Pederson, Brendan Pederson, Cameron and Gareth Baird. She is also survived by 9 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, sisters, Edna, Beverly, Betty and numerous extended family and friends.
Mom was born in Vancouver, BC but grew up in Camp 1 at the base of the Beaufort Mountains. She worked at Alberni Plywoods where she met Dad. They were married 47 years until his passing in 2004. They were loving and devoted parents and grandparents. They enjoyed travelling and gardening together. Mom was a 35 year volunteer with the Women’s Hospital Auxiliary which she loved.
We wish to thank Dr. Woodley, Dr. Johnson, the amazing nurses and staff at Ty Watson House, the community nurses and Home Support who all made Mom’s final weeks comfortable.
No service as per Mom’s request.
