GLADYS ALMIRA WEBB
SEPT. 8, 1927 – SEPT. 4, 2023
Gladys passed away peacefully on September 4 at Trillium Lodge in Parksville.
She was born and lived in Langenburg, Saskatchewan. After she graduated, she moved to Winnipeg and attended St. Boniface Hospital where she took her nursing and graduated as an RN. She met her husband Jack at that time and were married in 1951. They travelled around to many places over the years with their work, and one of the highlights for them was living in Churchill, Manitoba, home to the polar bears. From Churchill they moved to Melville, Saskatchewan and raised their family. Jack and Gladys retired in Winnipeg and then moved to beautiful Qualicum Beach in 1988. Unfortunately Jack passed away in 1996. Gladys went on to become very involved in the Women's Institute, the Senior's Centre and the Qualicum Legion.
She is survived by her 3 children, Randy (Jenny) Webb, Trudy Krenz and Kerry (Jill) Webb. She leaves behind 7 grandchildren, Cory, Crystal, Brandy, Carmen, Riley, Troy and Breanne and 11 great grandchildren, Jaxx, Kenzie, Dexton, Claira, Mia, Finn, Jett, Daisy, Ida, Charlie and Dashiell.
She was a kind and gentle soul, adored kids and loved when her grandchildren and great grandchildren would come to visit. She will be very missed by all her family and friends.
Thank you to Dr. Fletcher and all of the wonderful staff at Trillium Lodge who took care of mom, especially in her final days.
