It is with great sadness that we announce Isabel's passing on August 8,2023.
Isabel was born in Cumberland and moved to Qualicum Beach in 1958 with Hugh, her husband of 60 years.
They remained in Qualicum where they raised their three children and made numerous lifelong friends. Isabel worked for many years as the manager of Seabright Medical Clinic and was
also involved in the Qualicum Beach Curling Club, Evening Circle and was always helping out at her children's sporting events.
Is and Hugh enjoyed lots of traveling. Some of the highlights include numerous trips to Mexico as well as a trip across Canada and to the UK. They also were avid campers often taking grandchildren along. Family was the most important thing to Mom and she was the matriarch of our family. She was always there to lend a loving hand wherever needed.
Isabel was predeceased by her husband, Hugh, in 2016.
She is survived by her daughters Susan (Don) Hunter and Stacey (Greg) Kennedy, son Jeff (Darla) Gilmour, seven grandchildren, Caleb, Taylor, Joel, Allison, Ryan, Hilary and Stewart and 5 great grandchildren, Ana, Makaiah, Helen, Raffi and Chloe.
Isabel will be sadly missed by all and forever in our hearts.
There will be no service by Isabel's request. Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada in her memory, is so desired.
We Miss You Nan!
