In Loving Memory -
Born in Flin Flon, Manitoba, Jim moved to the Alberni Valley with his family when he was 10 years old.
Jim was predeceased by daughter, Shirley Joy (1962); son, Jim (1982); son in law, Clifford (2012); sisters, Jean and Mary. Jim is survived by daughters, Deborah, and Pamela (Michael); grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Jim is also survived by close friend and companion, Delores Clark and her extended family.
Jim served on the Port Alberni City Council, two terms as Councilor and two terms as Mayor. He then went on to serve on the Port Alberni Authority, as a Director, and then as Chairman. Jim served with many community organizations, and as much as he donated his time and talents to the community ~ he gave to those he loved.
We will miss his love, wisdom, kindness, and gentle guidance.
We all extend our appreciation to Dr Damien White and Missy, Dr Wendy Johnsen, and to all the staff and volunteers at Ty Watson house for their care and compassion. Thank you!
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at the Holy Family Notre Dame Church, 4731 on Burke Road in Port Alberni.
