Joanne Lorraine POZZEBON

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joanne Lorraine Pozzebon on Saturday, January 21, 2023. 

Born in Port Alberni on February 28, 1953, most of her adult life was spent in Vancouver where she had a long career with BC Hydro, eventually retiring to Port Alberni.  She was a gentle soul with a heart of gold.  Nothing brought her more pleasure than spending time with family and friends.  She loved to shop, entertain, laugh, have fun, and help others in any way she could.

Predeceased by her parents, Paul and Mary Pozzebon, she is survived by loving sisters, Donna Ofstie, Barbara Pozzebon and Mary Ann (Brian) Tall; beloved niece and nephew, Sara (Chris) Darling and Scott (Cindy) Ofstie, cherished great nieces and nephews, Amara Darling, Eli Darling and Marria Ofstie; cousins, Gio (Julie) and Ornella Mussato of Port Alberni and Carla (Gino) Panziera of Campbell  River; and numerous relatives in BC and Italy.   Also, by her very dear friends, Jim Keogh, Caren Durante, Linda Dolan and family, and Marla Peters and family.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at the Holy Family/Notre Dame Church in Port Alberni.  In lieu of flowers, those wishing to do so may donate to a charity of their choice.

It is lonely here without you, Joey.  We will love you and miss you forever.
