Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Karen Webb, who is remembered fondly as a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend. Karen passed away on May 27, 2023 at the age of 61.
She is survived by her husband, Alan, siblings, Dan, Paul, and Suzanne, and three children, Nick, Colin, and Katherine. She is predeceased by her parents, Mona and Bob. Karen was born in Victoria and grew up in Port Alberni. At the age of 28, she moved to Toronto where she would meet Alan. They married before moving back to Port Alberni to raise their family.
Karen was known for her work with the Alberni Valley Citizen Advocacy Society and for her voice in The Barkley Sounds Community Choir. She had a love for all things crafty and will be remembered for her homemade lightbulb figures and cross-stitching. Karen valued time with her family, and the holidays were often spent in a full household sharing stories and laughs with those she loved.
A drop-in style celebration of life will be held at Jericho Road Church on Saturday June 24th starting at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, those that wish to honour Karen may make a donation in her memory to Special Olympics BC - Port Alberni.
