Laurence Joseph Macneil (Larry)

August 10, 1946 - October 24, 2020

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Larry Macneil on October 24, 2020.

Larry is predeceased by his parents William and Christina Macneil, and brothers Fred Stevenson and Bill Macneil.   He is survived by his Wife, Best friend and Soul Mate of 53 years Maureen; his children Gregg (Christine) Macneil of Dunsford, ON., Paul (Michelle) Macneil of Whitby, ON., Keith (Stephanie) Macneil of Vancouver, BC.; grandchildren Adam (Emma) Macneil, Danielle Macneil, Isla Macneil and Kai Macneil.  Also survived by his siblings Ron (Diana) Macneil of Langley, BC. and sister-in-laws Mary of Bradford, ON. and Myrtle of Burlington, ON. and his nieces Pauline, Cecilia, Kelly and Helen and nephews Scott and Stuart.  Larry had a lengthy career at the A&P/Dominion stores in Ontario for 31 years.    He loved travelling the world with Maureen, playing golf, being with friends and sharing a laugh.  His was an infectious laugh.   He enjoyed volunteering at the Sidney Food Bank, Salvation Army Food Bank and Arrowview Elementary.  A funeral service was held on Friday November 6, 2020 at 1:00 PM, at Yates Memorial Services in Parksville, BC.   Please consider a donation in Larry’s name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or The Canadian Diabetes Association.
