Michael Sidney Colvin

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mike Colvin on September 27, 2023.

Mike was born in Victoria, BC and passed away at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital, Palliative Care Unit, after a short battle with lung cancer.

Mike will be deeply missed by his wife of 47 years Cathy, daughters Leanne and Jennie, grandson Isaac, his brother Chris (partner Cam), brothers-in-law Chris Whimbey (Sidalia), Don Whimbey, his cousins, nieces, nephew and many friends.

He was predeceased by his parents, Norman and Davida, also of Victoria, BC.

Mike grew up in Victoria and after retiring from his career as a cartographer with the Provincial Government of BC, he and his wife moved to Nanoose Bay, BC, where he spent his time doing the things he loved; fishing, gardening and playing pool.

In keeping with Mike’s wishes, there will be no formal service.
