Robert Ash Obituary

On October 25, 2020, at the age of 83, Robert Ash passed away at the palliative care unit of Nanaimo Hospital, BC. He is survived by his wife, Maureen, their daughter, Tammy McArthur and her husband Jim, and their two children, Chloe and Christopher. He was the eldest of five siblings and has one remaining sister, Luella Babbini, and an extended family of nieces and nephews, all living in BC.

Robert was a barber during his working life and plied his trade in the Lower Mainland and also in England. In 2002, after moving to Vancouver Island, he was at Barberette’s Barber Shop in Parksville until illness overtook him in 2013.

Due to the pandemic, a private service for family only was held at a local funeral home on October 29th. He is gone, but his memory will always be carried in the hearts of his family and friends.
