The family and loved ones of Robert Rayner Jackson Cormack are deeply saddened to announce the death of their beloved husband, father, son, and brother, who passed away suddenly on July 28th, 2023.
He is survived by his wife Ashley, his children Callie, Payton and Cameron, his mother Joanne (nee Haggard), his father Brent, his sister Deanna, nephews Jack and Chase, and former spouse Kim. He is predeceased by his grandmother Lorna Watson, and grandfathers Rennie Cormack and Charlie Haggard. His grandmothers Kay Cormack and Mary Haggard are both alive and well.
Jackson was born in Port Alberni on November 23rd, 1976, son to Brent and Joanne. He was raised in Tofino, Port McNeill, Port Alberni, and Nanaimo, where he graduated from Wellington High School.
He worked many years in the Alberta oil industry and in waste management. Jackson was a devoted father and family man. He was known for his quick wit and wild sense of humor. Fun loving, he was always up for a thrill. Jackson was a passionate sports fan, particularly of the Edmonton Oilers, and was undoubtedly Metallica’s number 1 fan.
He will be greatly missed by his loved ones, family, and friends. A celebration of life will be held at Yates Memorial Services in Parksville, BC on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at 1:00 pm.
