Sharon Fay (Linklater) Houghton

Predeceased by her parents Cedric and Phyllis Linklater and survived by Dave, her devoted, loving husband of 35 years, her sister Lorraine and brother-in-law Jim Kean, her sister-in-law Corinne and brother-in-law Keith Lyon, several nephews, and nieces.

Sharon died peacefully at home with her husband and sister by her side. Her battle with Leukemia (AML) was fairly short but she fought it with all her strength and unbelievable courage.

Most of Sharon’s adult life was spent living on Vancouver’s North Shore where she lived and worked mainly in property management.

Dave and Sharon both retired and moved to Vancouver Island and settled happily in the Qualicum Beach area where they enjoyed their long walks together with their dogs and friends along with many rounds of golf.

We wish to thank the many wonderful healthcare workers whom tirelessly assisted Sharon through her ordeal despite being under difficult government restraints.

At Sharon’s request, there will be no service held, and she would be delighted if a bag or two of food could be dropped off at the local animal shelter (SPCA) or a financial donation.
