Sidney Allen Burley

Entered into the presence of the Lord peacefully at home surrounded by his loving and devoted wife and his family.  Predeceased by his first wife Patricia (Lowe) 2000, and his second wife Janice (Fisher) 2012.  He leaves to mourn, brothers Dale (Betty), Gordon (Carol) and Kieth.

Besides his wife Lisette (Trudeau) six children; Diana (Gary) Lavergne, Ron (Nancy), David (Sue), Lorraine (John) McWilliam, Brian, Carolyn (Gavin) Laukkanen, 22 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was born in Paradise Hill, Saskatchewan to Fred and Hazel Burley and the family moved to Vancouver Island in 1935 where he spent the rest of his life.  He worked as an Electrician centered around the Victoria area extending up the Island and several spots around the province. 

He loved the Gospel message of the love of God and trusted Christ as His Saviour at the age of 21.  His greatest desire and continued prayer was to see all of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren come to the same knowledge and joy of God’s great saving Grace.

He remained a joyful and faithful witness to the end. 

Graveside for immediate family will be held at Yates Memorial Funeral Home at 1 pm.  Memorial Service to follow on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at 3 pm at Parksville Fellowship Baptist Church, 550 Pym Street, Parksville, BC.
