Steven Oatey Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Steven Oatey at Trillium on July 30, 2022. His loving wife Diane and sister Kathryn were by his side when he died peacefully in his sleep.

He was born in St Columb Major, Cornwall England. Began his career as Marine Engineer in 1971 sailing on deep sea ships and seeing the world. He met his wife Diane in 1976 in Vancouver. They married in England where they settled until 1993 when they moved to Vancouver Island and Steven started with BC Ferries.

They travelled and cruised for many years but mostly enjoyed time with their many dogs. He was well known for his sense of humour and wit.

He will be greatly missed by his family and friends and cocker spaniel Ziva.

A celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
