For the third and final installment of our Planning Made Simple series, we are excited to host Oceanside Hospice Society, presenting “Advance Care Planning…. What you need to know!”. In October, we started the conversation about disposition option in Parksville and Qualicum Beach including Cremation, Traditional Burial, and Green Burial. Last month, we hosted Anna Alcock-White of John Hossack and Associates to go in depth about Wills and Estates. For our final seminar in this series, we take a deeper look into health care decision making for end of life. We’re excited to partner with Oceanside Hospice Society to help you create your own Advanced Care Plan.
What is Advance Care Planning?
Advance Care Planning is thinking about, recording, and communicating your beliefs, values, and wishes about your healthcare treatment so that decisions always follow your direction, even if you can’t give it. This step is taken while you are still capable to take it and saves your family the stress and uncertainty of figuring out which direction you would want your healthcare to go. A thorough Advance Care Plan can include a Representation Agreement, an Advance Directive, and an Enduring Power of Attorney.
