Gloria was a beautiful, warm, welcoming person who died at the age of 82 in Parksville BC. She fought a courageous battle with cancer and was able to remain positive and smiling till the end.
Gloria will be forever loved and missed by her husband of 65 years, Earl Mycock; daughters, Carolyn Eveleigh and son-in-law, Ernie Nagy and Debbie (Armand) Bergeron; grandchildren, Jaimie and Amanda Nagy, Jason and Chris Bergeron; great grand children, Shelby and Serge; her “fur babies”, Arlo and Tiamo; as well as numerous brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews and extended family members.
Gloria’s family was so very important to her and their calls and visits meant the world to her - she was sad to leave them. Gloria lived in Victoria for many years and has many great memories of friends and family from those days.
In keeping with Gloria’s wishes no services will be held.
It is with very heavy hearts that we all have to say goodbye to “Momma”.
For Those I Love, For Those Who Love Me
When I am gone, release me, let me go
I have so many things to see and do
You mustn’t tie yourself to me with tears
Be happy that we had so many years
I gave you my love
You can only guess
How much you gave me of happiness
I thank you for the love you all have shown
But now it is time I travelled on alone
So grieve a while for me, if grieve you must
The let your grief be comforted by trust
It is only for awhile that we must part
So bless the memories within your heart
I won’t be far away, for life goes on
So if you need me, call and I will come
Though you can’t see or touch me, I’ll be near
If you listen with your heart, you’ll hear
All my love around you, soft and clear
And then, when you must come this way along
I’II greet you with a smile and “Welcome Home”
