Peter MEYER Obituary

Peter Meyer, 80, died peacefully on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at the Arrowsmith Lodge in Parksville, BC.

Predeceased by his daughter, Heidi Marie Meyer and survived by his daughter, Chelsey Meyer, his son, Hans Peter Meyer, and as well as granddaughters Rosa and Matia Meyer, and many friends.

Born and raised in Lüneburg, Germany, Peter took great pride in becoming a Canadian Citizen in 1969. He was an active member in his community taking part in Sunday School Lessons and Rotary Club at different times in his life. He also enjoyed a long career in the logging industry working at Elk River Timber, BCFP, and TimberWest. Peter was a great advocate for doing what you love and loving what you do. He also loved his children, his Tradewinds community in Comox, and was very fond of animals.

An open-house Celebration of Life will be held at 1052 Stewart Ave. in Courtenay, BC on Sunday, June 9 from 2pm – 5pm.
