Walter Ronald SMITH

It is with sad and heavy hearts that Ron’s family announces his sudden passing at home on Wednesday, November 14th, 2018 at the age of 65. (Ron) Walter Ronald Smith was born in Lethbridge, Alberta on May 04, 1953, the youngest of three children to parents George William and Marion Frances (Faulk).

In his early adult years Ron enjoyed skiing, camping and fishing while working at the local smelter in Trail, BC. He later moved back to Lethbridge, Alberta where he met his previous wife Dianna and her son Shane. The family then moved to Edmonton, Alberta where son Lindsey Christan was born and then on to Winnipeg, Manitoba where Justin Tyler was born. Over the years he took great pride in his profession as an Automotive Exhaust Specialist. Moving the family to various locations to open and operate Minute Muffler franchises, he later worked for the past 27 years at Sidney Tire Automotive Center in Parksville, BC.

Throughout the years, Ron enjoyed such activities as hiking, golf  and participating in automotive racing. Ron is survived by siblings Errol and Joanne, children Shane Dale, Lindsey Christan and Justin Tyler. Two grandchildren Kane Smith (Shane) and Olivia Smith (Lindsey).  Ron was loved by all who knew him including many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and members of the community.  He will be forever loved, missed and never forgotten.

A Celebration Of Life is set to be held at the Coombs Rodeo Grounds, 2601 Alberni Hwy. Coombs B.C. on Saturday Dec 1, 2018 from 2pm till 7pm.
