Baukje Scholte Obituary

It is with heavy hearts we share the news of our Mother’s passing. Bobby (Baukje) Scholte was born in Harkema, Holland on March 9, 1932. She died January 7, 2020 at the age of 87 years.

She immigrated to Canada in 1953 with her family and her new husband Henk.Together they had 6 children, Gay(Gordon) Martin (Caroline)Margaret (Ken) Yvonne (Craig) Audrey (Ken) and Ron She had 13 grandchildren, Shane, Tracy, Tiffany, Ashley, Leslie, Steven, Jason, Travis, Jennifer, Jessica, Kyle, Michelle, and Michael. She had 16 great-grandchildren, Brett, Shanice, Ariel, Trinity, Aria, Scarlett, Savannah, Elizabeth, Shyanne, Caiden, Amara, Zoe, Brooklyn, Mercedes, Hayden and Henry.

She was predeceased in death by her husband Henk (1994) and her daughter Audrey (2008)

Aside from her immediate family, she is survived by her brother Harry (Karen) and a sister Tina (Johannes, deceased 2019) in Holland. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and in-laws here in Canada and in Holland.

Would also like to thank Danny Lopez who has been a very close friend of the family and has been a constant in our lives and especially Mom of late. We want to thank the staff at Heritage Village in Port Alberni and most recently the staff at Arrowsmith Lodge for their care and support of Mom and our family over the last few years.

There will be a Celebration of Life service in Port Alberni @ 1:00 pm  Saturday January 18, 2020 to be held at the Christian Reformed Church   5033 Roger Street.
