Clara VAN BURIK Obituary

Clara Cornelia Maria Van Burik, a resident of Qualicum Beach, died Monday July 2, 2018 at the Royal Jubilee Hospital.

Clara's work here is done. She received a call, sort of an offer that she couldn't refuse, for an appointment from which she will not be returning. This assignment comes with a huge sign-on bonus, a reunion with loved family members, her Father (Huib), Mother (Marie) and her Brother (Ton) plus friends that she has not seen in a long time.

Her mission takes her to a wonderful place where she will be gardening, sewing and dancing with her brother (Ton) in the Jazz clubs until her heart's content. (...and NOT having to sneak back into the house after curfew hours). Music, laughter, love and yelling at the TV watching the Dutch soccer team is guaranteed.

Her love of Dutch pastries, a good cup of coffee and all food is delicious and you never gain an ounce.

She has left strict instructions for her family and friends to celebrate her mission here, which has now been completed. We will remember her smile and her crazy Dutch sense of humour.
