Dennis James Lowrey, born April 3rd, 1945, in New Westminster, passed away February 1st, 2020, on Royal Canadian Mounted Police Appreciation Day. Dennis served as a RCMP Officer, a Liaison Officer, as well as a City Police Officer in Victoria, BC. He was honoured in The Ottawa Citizen for the Special Centennial Edition from 1867 to 1967 for his service. Dennis was a member of the Musical Ride for the RCMP in Ottawa, ON, and he also served as a Master Mason from Grand Lodge of Alberta. Dennis also lived in the Arctic for several years and was proud to learn the culture and their ways of living. Dennis enjoyed a quiet, simplistic life, being in nature, feeding the birds, living by the ocean and enjoyed the beauty of the setting sun. He was a knowledgeable man who pondered many thoughts and enjoyed sharing his wisdom to others. Dennis was predeceased by his parents, Stan and Jennie and his twin brother David. Survived by his wife Anita, his two daughters Lisa and Jennifer, his brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
