Engelina Maria Vos

With profound sadness, we announce that Engelina (Lynn) Vos passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on February 15, 2022.  Lynn was born in the Netherlands on July 21, 1930 and immigrated to Canada in 1953 with her husband John.  They settled in the Alberni Valley in 1956, and together worked hard to build a good life for themselves and their family.  John passed away in 2009.. 

Lynn was a kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who valued family above all else.  We are all so grateful for her quiet strength, her selflessness, and her unwavering support.  She will be deeply missed and forever lovingly remembered by her children; Leona Winstone (Bryan), Fred Vos (Jody), Rita Saladana (Kurt), Deb Vos, and Cecelia Antonazzi (George), her grandchildren; Aaron, Nicole, Sheldon, Amelia, Kyler, Zoe, Aidan and Jenelle, and her great grandchildren; Farley, Selma, Thatcher and Arden.  She is survived by one sister in Germany, and extended family in Alberta and the Netherlands.

A Memorial Mass will be held on April 30, 2022 at 11:00 am at the Holy Family Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church.  Special thanks to Dr White and all of the nurses and staff at Fir Park Village for the excellent care. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Lynn’s name to Fir Park.
