George Brice Obituary

George Brice, age 87, passed away on January 24, 2020.  He left us to be with his wife Barbara, mother Eliza, father Frederick, brother Bill, and sister Miriam.  He is survived by his sister Joan, brother Bud, daughter Cindy, grand-daughter Courtney, and many friends and extended family members.

George grew up in Victoria, BC.  He served in the Royal Canadian Air Force (where he met his wife). After leaving the RCAF he  worked as an aerospace electrician on the Avro Arrow. When the Avro Arrow program was closed, George then returned to BC, where he spent the majority of his career working in the elevator industry.  He had many found memories of his friends and coworkers at the IUEC Local 82.  George loved to fish, especially the Capilano, Vedder, Cheakamus Rivers  for steelhead and salmon.  It was his love of fishing that drew him to retire in beautiful Qualicum Beach in his early 60’s.  Here he made many new friends and fishing buddies.

We would like to thank Dr.Wagenaar, Dr. Fletcher, and all of the health care staff who provided such excellent care in his last year.

A Celebration of Life will be held  in Qualicum Beach.  For details, please contact the family at GeorgeCelebrationofLife@outlook.com.
