The final chapter of a life well-lived is now complete. George Corbett Peek passed away peacefully on November 20, 2020 at the Qualicum Manor in Qualicum, B.C. at the age of 101.

George outlived the love of his life, Irene. He is survived by his 3 children: Shirley, Grant (Kay), Joanne (Egidio), 4 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

George served in the Canadian Air Force for 30 years and then worked for the Ontario Ministry of Education until he retired at the age of 65. He was a caring, giving person who thought of others before himself. George was one of a kind with his quick wit, intelligence and huge heart. His favourite past-times were reading, playing bridge, hiking, exercising and spending time with family and friends. He will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

George's family would like to thank the staff at the Qualicum Manor for the kind and compassionate care they provided to George throughout his final years.
