Ivy Emma Anne COOMBS

With sadness we announce the passing of Ivy on Monday, September 10th, 2018. Ivy was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Ernie Coombs. She is survived by her children, Danny Coombs, David & Laurie Coombs, and Karen Coombs-Domhof & Ed Domhof; grandchildren, Ryan Coombs, Brody Coombs (Taylor Cromartie), Alyshia Coombs (Turner Popoff); great grandchildren, Fenyx, Everson, and Ares Herkimer-Coombs.

Ivy was born in Ketchan, Saskatchewan. She moved to Port Alberni in the early 1940’s where she worked in the plywood mill until marrying Ernie in 1954. They had their three children to keep them very busy in the "Boom Town" of Port Alberni. They moved to Coombs, BC in 1979. Ivy was an avid shopper at the SOS and loved living in the Parksville community. She will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses, care aides and all the staff on the third floor at Qualicum Gardens for their kindness and care provided to Ivy.
