1939 - 2019
It is with great sadness that the Wiebe family announces the tragic passing of Jake Wiebe on January 15th, 2019 in a motor vehicle accident.
He is survived by his loving wife Sandy, daughter LeAnna Porter (husband David, children Walter and Emily) and son John.
Jake grew up on various family owned farms across Canada before settling in BC. He worked for the Prov. of B.C. as a social worker/financial assistance
worker for 27 years. Jake's first love was his Savior, Jesus Christ. He faithfully served the church for all of his adult life. Jake was also an avid reader and music lover/collector.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all those he guided through the Bible.
A funeral service in memory of Jake will be held on Wednesday, March 6th at 1:00 PM at Arrowsmith Baptist Church in Port Alberni.
Memorial donations in memory of Jake may be made to either the M.S. Society of Canada or the Alzheimer's Society of BC.
