John Donald (Sean) Lynch of Qualicum, B.C., passed away on March 18, 2024, after a lengthy battle with dementia. Born in Kingston, Ontario on June 16, 1950, Sean was 73 years old.
Predeceased by his parents, Maureen and James Lynch, Sean is survived by his sisters, Janis (niece Shannon) and Karen (Richard), along with his brother, Michael (Henny).
Sean joined the RCMP in 1972, and had a lengthy career, working various positions and locations, primarily in British Columbia. He was a dedicated and hard-working member. Sean especially enjoyed working smaller detachments such as Ucluelet and Alert Bay. Upon retirement, Sean moved back to Vancouver Island.
Sean continued to enjoy his favourite hobbies and pastimes, which included reading, wood working, fishing, and kayaking.
Sean left us far too early and will be deeply missed by all.
Special thanks to the wonderful staff at the Gardens in Qualicum Beach, especially those working the third floor. Also Neil & Rose Gillis, and Ken & Krys Handy, for their love and care for Sean over the last few years.
A Celebration of Life was held at Yates Memorial Services in Parksville on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at 1:00 p.m.
